Axiom Community Church By-Laws

Name
The name of our church will be called Axiom Community Church

Business Location

The address of the principal office of this church shall be:
14180 Indian Creek PL, Victorville, CA 92395

Purpose

The purposes of Axiom Community Church are:

1. To worship and serve God and to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as set
forth in Matthew 28:19-20.
2. To minister to the needs of the community and church members as the church is able to do so.

Nonprofit Status and Liquidation

This church is not organized for profit. In the event of liquidation or dissolution of the church, all of its assets and property of every nature and description whatsoever shall be paid over and transferred at the direction of the pastor and church council to another church or charitable foundation.

Membership
To become a member of Axiom Community Church you must share your Testimony of faith in Jesus Christ to the Pastor or an Elder.
A. Termination can be performed as outlined in Matthew 18:15-17 and I Corinthians 5:13

Pastor
The Pastor of Axiom Community Church will be elected by the eldership for an indefinite period of time. The duties of the Pastor will be “to prepare God’s people for the work of service so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12), and to plan and organize the service of the church.
Church Officers
A. Elder (1)
The elder of the church will be elected by the membership of the church and meet the qualifications of scripture. (Timothy 3; Titus 1:5-11; I Peter 5:1-3) The elder will also assist the pastor in any way possible.

B. Treasurer (1)
The treasurer will be appointed by the Pastor and approved by the eldership of the church and handle the finances of the church, record all tithes and offerings

G. Advisor (3)
The Pastor / Elders will select them. They will serve on the church board to give counsel; advice; and wisdom in regarding church matters and affairs.
Business Meetings
Business meetings will be held BI-monthly or as the members’ see fit. Anyone can give suggestions or comments at the business meetings, but only members can vote on any decisions.
Board Meetings
Board meetings will be held once a month at the discretion of the church leadership as needed. Representatives shall be, the pastor, treasurer, and elder, and at least two members of the church which shall ,make up the church council. 60% of the voting body constitutes a Quorum.
Amendments
Amendments to these by-laws may be made at a regular scheduled church business meeting. A simple majority vote is necessary to make any amendment to these by-laws.

  • Each elected officer will be elected to serve for a term of three years.
  • Terms of each church office will be arranged so that 1/2 or 1/3 of the term shall expire each year.
  • At the end of their term if they so desire, and if voted by the members, they can serve again.
